He’s the type who wants to cheer people up when they’re sad. Well, what if Tako discovered she could keep his attention by constantly giving him sob stories? She could’ve been making him feel sorry for her, so he kept trying to cheer her up and give her attention. That’s what he talks about on stream all the time, doing his best to make us Bubbies feel happy and provide and escape from sadness. He probably thought he was doing just that for Tako. She would’ve been making him feel like he can’t ignore her and maybe she like manipulated him into making that little drawing for her, that everyone freaked out over back when the first DM drama hit. I can see Gibby being such a weak pushover.
When Tako had her “break up” it was basically him finally putting his foot down. Maybe his manesan reprimanded him, or Gibby asked his manesan for help with the situation. I know for a fact the boys ask their manesans for help in these situations, because I remember Uyu talked about having a menhera fan spamming his tag on twitter and his manesan suggested muting them.
Then she got pissed because her scheme failed and she went full menhera. She convinced her friends he was bad (a groomer/groombullet) and started “gathering evidence” to get him reported. She is basically projecting onto him all the things she did. That’s why there are people vagueposting about getting Gibby terminated. They’re in Tako’s clique.
I don’t have proof, but I doubt that even if there existed proof of Tako’s manipulation we would ever see it since it would be tightly locked in Tako’s DMs. I’m just throwing possibilities out there. Assuming Gibby didn’t have bad intent, why else would he go along with her shit for so long? Tako emotionally manipulating him makes the most sense.
I want to make clear though that think that would be pathetic behavior for a professional vtuber and an adult male. He should know better and just cut off contact straight away and if it was anyone else, like Shinri, that’s how it would’ve ended. But it’s still very much humanly possible that Gibby is like that.

But if it was easy to recognize this type of man we wouldn’t see this narrative time and time again. It’s always covert and experience has taught me to trust the woman 9/10 times, until abundant evidence against her has been presented.
