I’ve read the whole thread but I still don’t know what this is about. Basically just fans in chat misbehaving and how talents should start banning them, did I get it right?
His chat has not really improved even after a year of repeated requests to follow the rules he’s set, and in some cases have gotten worse. The last few months have painted Ruzaders in a bad light, with the latest being Ruze needing to call-out a Twitter post the was basically numberfagging and humble bragging about his income and numbers. It’s clear he’s starting to show some frustration with all of this as well.
It’s not about banning people, that won’t solve anything. It comes down to him needing to be much firmer on rules and rule breaking, and honestly shaming fan behavior he doesn’t like might be what he has to do to get it to work. (See the Twitter post call-out.) On the fans side, Ruzaders need to start self-moderating chat (and their fandom culture honestly) or else, for all that they love their oshi, they’ll be viewed extremely negatively.
Between “Don’t defend me; I don’t need that,” and the “if someone’s causing trouble in chat, let me handle it” rule, I’m guessing some people are afraid that they’ll be getting attacked if they try to bring it up. Ruze should explicitly say something along the lines of, “if you see someone doing something I said not to do, don’t attack them because they might not know. But you can link ’em to the stream to help them out.” Would break the ice and encourage self-moderation by framing it as spreading awareness.
This is why I don’t label myself a ruzader even though Ruze is my kamioshi… The culture has very much put me off from the fanbase, which I know isn’t fair when it’s just a very vocal, very annoying minority, all things considered. Being obnoxious and annoying isn’t a crime worth lynching people over (a shame really) but how can you police something like that without coming off as arrogant yourself? I hate to think that it’s all up to him to discourage the behaviors he doesn’t want his fanbase to be known for, but his word would be the strongest law here to make sure it sticks.
A lot of his loudest and chattiest fans who drive the chat culture are very welcome though.

Annoying is one thing, but the repeated slow creep from annoying to actual problems seems concerning. It started as vaguely uncomfortable and took time to ramp up, but it wasn’t bad enough to be stopped until it was low-key insulting. I don’t think the big traumadump came out of nowhere, either. Being in a constant state of, “It’s okay until it’s not,” isn’t healthy.
There’s also that awkward middle stage between “annoying” and “big enough problem to call out” where people are just genuinely uncomfortable and don’t feel like they can say anything. I can’t be the only one bothered by the uptick in insults to Axel. There’s no way Ruze wants part of his audience to feel bad because the things they like are being shat on.
I don’t even understand why I’m seeing more insults about Axel when, in the reverse, Axelotls fucking love Ruze for having the same vibes as him. I cannot get over the soup someone sent that said “tbh we need to kill Axel” when he was just doing his normal cheeky shit and when someone called them out about it, they were all “oh it’s just jokes tee hee :3”. I was genuinely stunned and hurt someone would say that about Axel of all people…
Yeah I felt this way during the Mario Party stream a while back lol. I don’t think that’s the issue with the offending Ruzaders though, they need to learn that it’s not really their place to say certain things.
i get the feeling they’re acting as though just because ruze is sometimes prickly towards the other talents they can be too but there’s a huge difference between acting like that towards people you know/are friends with and acting like that towards a coworker of some anime boy you watch on youtube
Could be true, but it feels extra off when Ruze’s reactions are always overly-specific goofy punishments. (Bashing your head in with a rock, inverting your eyelids, plucking out all your eyelashes one by one, etc)
> The few biggest offenses he doesn’t like WERE called out
Yeah, I agree that he’s been good with this. I’m just from the side of the aisle that gets irritated by people who just radiate “pick me!” energy, chatting quippy nonsense or sending irrelevant scs when someone is streaming something they’re not really invested in. Annoying, but not really something to be called out for unless it’s egregiously off-topic.
I don’t see the “pick me” behavior. His loudest fans are just vocal. They’re like that with everyone and are close to each other too. Maybe something to consider that his most active fans all get along with each other, at least ostensibly? while almost every day people come on here to complain about them. Seems to me like his community is fine and one of the most welcoming out there, and people think because it’s not their vibe it’s a problem.
Every time the question of “who has the worst or most unwelcoming chat” has come up, the top 3 answers are always Bettel’s, Shinri’s, and Ruze’s without fail. That didn’t come from out of nowhere, so no, there’s clearly a problem somewhere in the machine. Also “you didn’t vibe with us when we’re the most welcoming community” is so incredibly backhanded. Way to disprove your point. I feel bad for Ruze that he has to wrangle his community constantly and that’s a shame cause he’s a good dude.
Where, on here or 4chan? The majority of you on here are a bunch of assholes, so your opinions as to the behaviors of others is meaningless. You’re more than free to say hello during stream and many of the very fans you’re deriding will welcome you with open arms, but by all means sit and stew in silence in the corner while hoping your oshi will notice you and crown you The Bestest Fan Of All.
I know some of you came here wanting to chat about Ruze and have been pulled into this repetitive discussion being told over and over again by people who will never be happy that there’s some deeply entrenched problem, and now bad actors have convinced you that there’s an issue. But chances are many of you didn’t even think there was an issue until the people here started telling you there was. Before you jump in, consider that Ruze is a magnetic individual and there’s a good chance a LOT of the people sowing dissonance here have an unhealthy attachment and will never be happy with chat because it’s their “competition.”
And the purpose of my comments here are ultimately to protect Ruze. The fans you all are complaining about don’t have any outward drama, make fanart, make clips, make merch, donate, and promote him even outside of the internet. You’re all bitching because his most active fans support him and… like each other? Go outside.
You all have dedicated multiple pages wringing your hands over the state of his chat and listing off how x, y, and z are hurting his community, and me simply countering that by stating that you all are actually the ones doing the harm means that I’m “whiteknighting.”
Again, why would anyone want to be in a community with any of you? There’s a fair chance a some of you bitching are in fact bitching about each OTHER.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again since you’re obviously the same person:
Stay on Twitter and Discord if a little bit of negative feedback about a vtuber community’s chat behavior gets you this worked up. Anonymous forums clearly aren’t for you.
You sound exactly like that one “my writing style is very well known in the community” anon who kept writing text walls about how we were bitches and rude by saying the “RUZE MY MOM DIED THIS YEAR LETS GOOOO” SC was inappropriate. And then Ruze called out “no trauma dumping” in the next Ruzolve.
I’m not even all the same anon in this very comment chain. You guys downvoted someone who isn’t me for saying some of the same stuff. Do you think people disagreeing with you have to all be the same person?
Not that it matters. It’s anonymous and I doubt any of us here are BNFs.
I’m not trying to protect Ruze as an individual, I’m trying to protect his INCOME. If it were up to you all, you’d run off the very people who have bust their ass to promote him.
At this point I’m just convinced a bunch of you are his antis. You’re the ones exhibiting horrible behavior, not his regulars. Do you all actually think YOU are setting a good example? You all seem horrible. Look in the mirror.
Wait until you hear what the housekeeping from the monthly Ruzolve and the guerilla art stream was for! (Exactly this type of behavior, to the extent that this almost feels like a parody.)
Ruze also mentioned recently that he didn’t want anyone to feel like not being able to spend money made them bad fans, so I guess he’s seeing it brought up a lot.
The silent majority which consists of ~1000 viewers at any time. Are there 1000 people in the comments here? Obviously not. Usually the max upvotes on this site are about 30? So you have a very small group of fans with a personal vendetta getting together thinking they get to dictate the fandom for everyone else. You all are just chomping at the bit to be bullies and are waiting for a moments notice to take it out on a community of people who largely get along just fine.
Uh, yeah? We know the silent majority isn’t here so his income which you yourself brought up is obviously not in danger from anons who are complaining about the vocal minority making them feel unwelcome even while you insist there is no problem.
Except you all bring it up constantly and eventually one or more of you is going to feel brave and try to spoil a community that it seems like almost everyone else is fine with. Ruze himself interacts and encourages the people you all don’t like.
Not to mention that we don’t know if BNFs read this website. What have they actually done other than annoy some of you? You all need to work more on enjoying Ruze’s content than being constantly distracted by other people having a good time.
> What have they actually done other than annoy some of you?
i’ve just been spectating this whole thread but saying that his misbehaving fans traumadumping on him is just annoying feels dismissive of the people who are actually affected by the mention of a death of a loved one.
it kinda actually triggered my seasonal depression & i haven’t really been watching ruze’s stream lately because of it.
it’s not about ruze or his income either, it’s how some of his fans are being inconsiderate when they chat which affects other ruzaders viewing experience.
Girl I would enjoy Ruze’s content more if he didn’t read the super weird SCs he gets on a regular basis. I can’t even avoid them by closing chat cause of that
Talking that closely with each other on the stream chat is the opposite of welcoming. It makes new people feel uncomfortable because they feel like outsiders. It’s even worse when it’s inside jokes or off topic, in which case the new people have no idea what they’re talking about.
Then why does he interact with them on other socials? If he had a problem with them, wouldn’t he keep his distance? He even interacts with the same fans on his personal account. He wouldn’t do that if he disliked their behavior.
It sounds like you all are just bitter that other people are getting the attention you want. Nothing is preventing anyone from participating. The regulars there are all very welcoming.
Meanwhile all of you on here just sound miserable all the time and rush to complain about everyone. Why would anyone want you around if you’re going to just shit on everyone who doesn’t act exactly like you want or gets more attention from your oshi than you think they deserve?
ngl I was waiting for someone to pull the “you’re just jealous your oshi gives me them attention” card, thanks.
On a more serious note, it feels awkward to insert yourself in a conversation dominated by the regulars even when you want to, and even worse when they’re referencing jokes or topics from their friend circles and you’re an outsider trying to make sense of it. I know some people just turn chat off entirely, which limits their own interactions, instead of publicly making a fuss over something that feels like shouldn’t really matter. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, but don’t just attribute it to jealousy or bitterness when people are airing their grievances anonymously because it keeps happening over and over.
He explicitly said that he doesn’t hate you if he calls you out on your behavior. He’s not going to exile someone because they’ve had to be corrected on things that bother him.
It doesn’t even sound like he’s concerned about how he feels when he’s enforcing the rules most of the time; he’s been focusing on how it makes other people feel. And yes, he’s been good at being it up, but by the time it’s bad enough for him to see it, it’s already too late. People already feel bad.
If this is true then they should be called out by everyone soon. This is exactly what happened to bettelion in just a few months after debut with them worshipping another bnf in prechat to the point bettel had to intervene……
I’ve watched a lot of Jurard’s content and I don’t really find his chat any worse than the average vtuber’s most of the time. It’s certainly not the best behaved, but it’s nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be.
Some fans got obnoxious about the Ryzar thing, but Jurard addressed that on stream eventually, clearly stating that he doesn’t know the guy and people shouldn’t expect them to interact, and it seemed to fade away pretty quickly when fans realized he didn’t want to lean into it.
They are, but unless they’re tagging the talents or putting it in their official hashtags, I don’t really think that’s something people need to get worked up over. IMO, a fan’s personal Twitter account is their space, and they can be cringe off in their own corner as long as they’re not hurting anyone. It’s easy to block or mute if someone is being annoying.
It’s when they start bringing it into chat or into official hashtags that they’re imposing on the streamer’s space, and that’s when I start getting irritated.
He forgets to retweet fanart, forgets to shill merch, doesn’t make random shitposts. No untagged jumpscares where he’ll show up randomly in [your] notifications because FYP says [you] need to be perceived. No posts at all for two days. Like we know he’s busy and Sorawrity can keep themselves entertained, but RTs or random posts don’t take much time to do and would help his algorithm.
They’re not indies. They are hired by a company and represent it so they can’t just act out of line, they even have to self censor some words and phrases since the things they say can reflect on the company. Fans just need to remember rules and self regulate each other, unfortunately some people are just a natural magnet to the troublesome bunches and it’s the case for these specific boys.
why did the aggressive fans of bettel and shinri move on to ruze anyway, like ruze is 5x more strict with his rules than those two, i can’t imagine myself being so shameless as to ignoring his announcements lmao
Vesties ended up isolating themselves from Tempus in general, only caring about Vesper (and I mean that in a “did not give a shit about the rest of HQ or VG at all and decidedly ignored the rest of the branch” kind of way). They also eventually became aggressively menhera over him.
Koi’s are why being gentle with rules is a bad choice: Shinri repeatedly tried to enforce or remind them of rules but it always fell flat because he was never stern with his chat or punished rule breaking (I have no better term for here, sorry). It’s gotten better as of late (like when he really went hard on people who were basically spoiling and backseating the OG Silent Hill 2 with “trigger warning” superchats or concernfagging in his chat), but it’s still a long road ahead for him to get his chat to break this behavior.
There are very few Vesties (where Vesper was their oshi and that’s it) left in the fandom. Most were either hako-oshi-ing HQ/Tempus or straight up left the fandom, either to follow him or left the hobby entirely. It was a mess. It’s also why you see more people sad over Magni versus Vesper: those people who’d be sad over Vesper are gone.
He’s already been gentle parenting the ruzaders for the past couple months tbh and I don’t know what else he can do at this point. It’s starting to get to a point where no matter how much he reiterates it people aren’t listening and that’s incredibly frustrating.
unfortunately the only fandom spaces holostars has besides /mans/ and here are twitter and discord, and if you try to tell people to behave in the chat over there you’ll get run off the platform. even if you didn’t, this sort of thing really does need to come from the talents themselves- they need to be more liberal with their mutes/temp bans or people will keep acting like toddlers
i’ve seen very few sorawrity tell others to read rules in pre-chat but it doesn’t happen in every jurard stream. there’s none of that in ruzader and octoposse pre-chat, and gibby doesn’t put rules in his stream description.
Most of the time it’s regulars already hanging out in pre-chat, and most would assume that they’ve all been there long enough to be familiar with the rules and group vibe? And if anything happens during the actual stream, most people are too afraid of confrontation to call out the behavior in front of the streamer, or too mindful of the “let me handle it” clause that’s usually in the rules, or are avoiding being called out themselves for “mod behavior /derogatory”.
That reminds me of the one Bettelion that would take over his prechat to the point that there was this weird minor clique and people calling her “their real oshi”. It took a solid amount of Bettelion to push back on this culture and finally Bettel telling people to knock it off cause it was so disruptive.
It’s possible for fans to reign in bad behavior, even in prechat which is usually regulars, but it has to be a concerted effort to do.
This is exactly one of the problems currently running in Ruze’s chat, and I do mean his LIVE char, not just prechat. There’s a BNF constantly offtopic talking about themself and having their clique talk to them personally, doesn’t seem to realize Rule 5 applies to them.
tbh, when i saw that numbers tweet, i wanna direct reply them and saying stuff like “it’s not good to compare numbers”, but then i remember Ruze doesn’t like ppl “whiteknight” him and just let him handle it.
White knighting is when you’re downplaying very clearly bad behavior or waving off stuff that should get someone yelled at. Calling out blatantly bad fan behavior isn’t really that, so you’d be in the right to do so.
yes, but Ruze is being pretty assertive bringing up rules soon after things happen. I’ve seen streamers “blow up at chat” and it always looks bad from an outside perspective or to non offenders. A gentler hand is better in the long run. It’s also up to individuals to block those who they deem “annoying” but aren’t breaking any rules. If you interact with the community on twitter/discord, not anonymously, then you absolutely should help reinforce rules when you see people breaking them either maliciously or because they’re new or uninformed
aside from the usual spammers/trolls i’ve seen shinri ban disruptive people a couple times. once for being weird and once for treating the chat like a discord. both times he said nothing, just banned silently. i wish he’d enforce the rules for his regulars, though. SH2 was painful.
I think banchou banned my account from chatting 😭😭 my comments won’t show up on his chat but it works well on tavi’s. I must have done something wrong on the earlier days, maybe when I first joined the community when I wasn’t aware of the unspoken rule 😭 anyway, I already have a new account and I’m also already aware of that unspoken rule so all is good.
I’ve heard of one instance of a now ex-fan getting banned but idk whether that’s true or it turned into this twisted word-of-mouth thing (which is understandable), but personally I had only seen two separate instances of Gibby banning someone on stream during my time here as a Bubby.First time I saw that live (sorta? I actually missed the moment, but I went back to it to check when the VOD was still up) was during the unarchived guerilla collab he had with Hakka, I THINK it was Black Ops?? I forgot what the name of the game is, but he had to private the VOD bc the game opens with N*zi symbolism. But anyway, he banned someone for spelling out the N word, hard R included. The second time was during the Ultra Despair Girls stream. Right when he was about to end stream, someone was spamming chat asking Gibby to redirect to THEIR stream. Now THIS I actually saw live and with full attention, and there was something so comedic about the whole thing. It felt like watching a reenactment of the “sounds like a lot of– HOOPLA!” scene from SpongeBob.Some Bubbies actually had asked him whether he would put or enforce any rules etc. in his description box, but he said that he has yet to feel the need to do so because in his eyes the Bubbies have been mostly very well-behaved, save for the very rare occasions of misdemeanor. The only rule so far that he’s said directly is “don’t be weird”, and he’s reassured his viewers that he can handle it.
I’ve seen Rio directly call out someone who wasn’t behaving and saying they were banning them. The chatter wasn’t being a troll, they just messed up the chat vibe. I think everyone needs to just grow thicker skin and start banning more.
Theres only so much that the boys can do about that, if they cant be told off by gentle parenting then they should be bullied off the fandom just like tako and sushi. Simple as that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve seen Altare and Shien 100% ban people live. Sometimes, if it’s particularly egregious rule-breaking it will be addressed out loud as an example, but it’s funny seeing rule breakers disappear from the on-screen streamed chat and you know they’ve been timed out.
Gibby pls. I needs to know. Hopefully he confirms it later on stream

i get the feeling they’re acting as though just because ruze is sometimes prickly towards the other talents they can be too but there’s a huge difference between acting like that towards people you know/are friends with and acting like that towards a coworker of some anime boy you watch on youtube
Report
Could be true, but it feels extra off when Ruze’s reactions are always overly-specific goofy punishments. (Bashing your head in with a rock, inverting your eyelids, plucking out all your eyelashes one by one, etc)
Report
> The few biggest offenses he doesn’t like WERE called out
Yeah, I agree that he’s been good with this. I’m just from the side of the aisle that gets irritated by people who just radiate “pick me!” energy, chatting quippy nonsense or sending irrelevant scs when someone is streaming something they’re not really invested in. Annoying, but not really something to be called out for unless it’s egregiously off-topic.
Report
I don’t see the “pick me” behavior. His loudest fans are just vocal. They’re like that with everyone and are close to each other too. Maybe something to consider that his most active fans all get along with each other, at least ostensibly? while almost every day people come on here to complain about them. Seems to me like his community is fine and one of the most welcoming out there, and people think because it’s not their vibe it’s a problem.
Report
Every time the question of “who has the worst or most unwelcoming chat” has come up, the top 3 answers are always Bettel’s, Shinri’s, and Ruze’s without fail. That didn’t come from out of nowhere, so no, there’s clearly a problem somewhere in the machine. Also “you didn’t vibe with us when we’re the most welcoming community” is so incredibly backhanded. Way to disprove your point. I feel bad for Ruze that he has to wrangle his community constantly and that’s a shame cause he’s a good dude.
Report
Go outside.
Report
To that anon who was wondering about white knighting, here’s your example.
Report
You all have dedicated multiple pages wringing your hands over the state of his chat and listing off how x, y, and z are hurting his community, and me simply countering that by stating that you all are actually the ones doing the harm means that I’m “whiteknighting.”
Again, why would anyone want to be in a community with any of you? There’s a fair chance a some of you bitching are in fact bitching about each OTHER.
Report
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again since you’re obviously the same person:
Stay on Twitter and Discord if a little bit of negative feedback about a vtuber community’s chat behavior gets you this worked up. Anonymous forums clearly aren’t for you.
Report
You sound exactly like that one “my writing style is very well known in the community” anon who kept writing text walls about how we were bitches and rude by saying the “RUZE MY MOM DIED THIS YEAR LETS GOOOO” SC was inappropriate. And then Ruze called out “no trauma dumping” in the next Ruzolve.
Report
I’m not even all the same anon in this very comment chain. You guys downvoted someone who isn’t me for saying some of the same stuff. Do you think people disagreeing with you have to all be the same person?
Not that it matters. It’s anonymous and I doubt any of us here are BNFs.
Report
does anyone save that Jerma pic?
Report
Ruze literally said NOT to go out and fight battles for him and that he doesn’t need protection. Why is that your goal?
Report
I’m not trying to protect Ruze as an individual, I’m trying to protect his INCOME. If it were up to you all, you’d run off the very people who have bust their ass to promote him.
At this point I’m just convinced a bunch of you are his antis. You’re the ones exhibiting horrible behavior, not his regulars. Do you all actually think YOU are setting a good example? You all seem horrible. Look in the mirror.
Report
Holy fucking shit, why would Ruze need antis when he has fans like this?
Report
Wait until you hear what the housekeeping from the monthly Ruzolve and the guerilla art stream was for! (Exactly this type of behavior, to the extent that this almost feels like a parody.)
Report
…why the sudden “income” topic tho?
Report
Ruze also mentioned recently that he didn’t want anyone to feel like not being able to spend money made them bad fans, so I guess he’s seeing it brought up a lot.
Report
Are you talking about the paycheck the coverment gives him or the thousands of dollars the silent majority spend on him?
Report
The silent majority which consists of ~1000 viewers at any time. Are there 1000 people in the comments here? Obviously not. Usually the max upvotes on this site are about 30? So you have a very small group of fans with a personal vendetta getting together thinking they get to dictate the fandom for everyone else. You all are just chomping at the bit to be bullies and are waiting for a moments notice to take it out on a community of people who largely get along just fine.
Report
Uh, yeah? We know the silent majority isn’t here so his income which you yourself brought up is obviously not in danger from anons who are complaining about the vocal minority making them feel unwelcome even while you insist there is no problem.
Report
Except you all bring it up constantly and eventually one or more of you is going to feel brave and try to spoil a community that it seems like almost everyone else is fine with. Ruze himself interacts and encourages the people you all don’t like.
Not to mention that we don’t know if BNFs read this website. What have they actually done other than annoy some of you? You all need to work more on enjoying Ruze’s content than being constantly distracted by other people having a good time.
Report
> What have they actually done other than annoy some of you?
i’ve just been spectating this whole thread but saying that his misbehaving fans traumadumping on him is just annoying feels dismissive of the people who are actually affected by the mention of a death of a loved one.
it kinda actually triggered my seasonal depression & i haven’t really been watching ruze’s stream lately because of it.
it’s not about ruze or his income either, it’s how some of his fans are being inconsiderate when they chat which affects other ruzaders viewing experience.
Report
That sucks, I’m sorry to hear that, nonnie. I hope you’ve got something to help cheer you up even a little.
Report
Girl I would enjoy Ruze’s content more if he didn’t read the super weird SCs he gets on a regular basis. I can’t even avoid them by closing chat cause of that
Report
Anon, if he has to keep telling his fans off for bad behaviour this much he absolutely is not “fine” with how his community is going right now.
Report
You’re my favorite recurring anon lol I love your work never stop entertaining
Report
Talking that closely with each other on the stream chat is the opposite of welcoming. It makes new people feel uncomfortable because they feel like outsiders. It’s even worse when it’s inside jokes or off topic, in which case the new people have no idea what they’re talking about.
Report
nta, but that’s exactly the problem.
some of them getting too comfortable w/ each other, then treat Ruze’s chat like their own discord server lmao.
Ruze already said multiple times he wants fair chance for everyone in his community, but this is not it.
Report
Report
ngl I was waiting for someone to pull the “you’re just jealous your oshi gives
methem attention” card, thanks.
Report
He explicitly said that he doesn’t hate you if he calls you out on your behavior. He’s not going to exile someone because they’ve had to be corrected on things that bother him.
It doesn’t even sound like he’s concerned about how he feels when he’s enforcing the rules most of the time; he’s been focusing on how it makes other people feel. And yes, he’s been good at being it up, but by the time it’s bad enough for him to see it, it’s already too late. People already feel bad.
Report
If this is true then they should be called out by everyone soon. This is exactly what happened to bettelion in just a few months after debut with them worshipping another bnf in prechat to the point bettel had to intervene……
Report
You’re just defending your oomfs, nonnie, I get it. But the behavior is definitely there.

I see, all you just given up on the Sorawrity
Report
I’ve watched a lot of Jurard’s content and I don’t really find his chat any worse than the average vtuber’s most of the time. It’s certainly not the best behaved, but it’s nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be.
Some fans got obnoxious about the Ryzar thing, but Jurard addressed that on stream eventually, clearly stating that he doesn’t know the guy and people shouldn’t expect them to interact, and it seemed to fade away pretty quickly when fans realized he didn’t want to lean into it.
Report
IMO sorawrity are cringier outside chat than during streams. the ryzar thing was more pronounced on twitter.
Report
They are, but unless they’re tagging the talents or putting it in their official hashtags, I don’t really think that’s something people need to get worked up over. IMO, a fan’s personal Twitter account is their space, and they can be cringe off in their own corner as long as they’re not hurting anyone. It’s easy to block or mute if someone is being annoying.
It’s when they start bringing it into chat or into official hashtags that they’re imposing on the streamer’s space, and that’s when I start getting irritated.
Report
jurard hasn’t streamed in one and a half weeks and rarely calls out his fans for bad behavior unlike ruze, gomen.
Report
I love the dumb dino but he’s really bad at the social media part of his job….
Report
Pls enlighten me as to what made you say so, because so far, for me, his social media part is fine.
Report
He forgets to retweet fanart, forgets to shill merch, doesn’t make random shitposts. No untagged jumpscares where he’ll show up randomly in [your] notifications because FYP says [you] need to be perceived. No posts at all for two days. Like we know he’s busy and Sorawrity can keep themselves entertained, but RTs or random posts don’t take much time to do and would help his algorithm.
Report
wtf he’s been gone that long??
Report
yup. doki’s apex custom was his last stream.
Report
Kind of tired of holostars lettings fans walk all over them just because they dont want to lose fans or money
Report
They’re not indies. They are hired by a company and represent it so they can’t just act out of line, they even have to self censor some words and phrases since the things they say can reflect on the company. Fans just need to remember rules and self regulate each other, unfortunately some people are just a natural magnet to the troublesome bunches and it’s the case for these specific boys.
Report
I know about the Magmites and Betellion, but not the other two. Mind filling in a non-Vestie/Koi?
Report
why did the aggressive fans of bettel and shinri move on to ruze anyway, like ruze is 5x more strict with his rules than those two, i can’t imagine myself being so shameless as to ignoring his announcements lmao
Report
model hotness
Report
people generally watch who they find entertaining and nothing to do with their rules.
Report
with or without rules there’s a thing called etiquette, reading the room, and being nice. that’s why those people are getting flak lmao
Report
Report
So that’s why I never see Vesties anywhere. They must have all followed him back
Report
There are very few Vesties (where Vesper was their oshi and that’s it) left in the fandom. Most were either hako-oshi-ing HQ/Tempus or straight up left the fandom, either to follow him or left the hobby entirely. It was a mess. It’s also why you see more people sad over Magni versus Vesper: those people who’d be sad over Vesper are gone.
Report
He’s already been gentle parenting the ruzaders for the past couple months tbh and I don’t know what else he can do at this point. It’s starting to get to a point where no matter how much he reiterates it people aren’t listening and that’s incredibly frustrating.
Report
Fans need to hold each other accountable out of streams. If you interact in fandom spaces, gently correct things that have been addressed.
Report
unfortunately the only fandom spaces holostars has besides /mans/ and here are twitter and discord, and if you try to tell people to behave in the chat over there you’ll get run off the platform. even if you didn’t, this sort of thing really does need to come from the talents themselves- they need to be more liberal with their mutes/temp bans or people will keep acting like toddlers
Report
in my times, we adjusted shit on pre-chat
Report
i’ve seen very few sorawrity tell others to read rules in pre-chat but it doesn’t happen in every jurard stream. there’s none of that in ruzader and octoposse pre-chat, and gibby doesn’t put rules in his stream description.
Report
Octoposse don’t really have to deal with that. Maestro usually takes care of it discreetly.
Report
Most of the time it’s regulars already hanging out in pre-chat, and most would assume that they’ve all been there long enough to be familiar with the rules and group vibe? And if anything happens during the actual stream, most people are too afraid of confrontation to call out the behavior in front of the streamer, or too mindful of the “let me handle it” clause that’s usually in the rules, or are avoiding being called out themselves for “mod behavior /derogatory”.
Report
That reminds me of the one Bettelion that would take over his prechat to the point that there was this weird minor clique and people calling her “their real oshi”. It took a solid amount of Bettelion to push back on this culture and finally Bettel telling people to knock it off cause it was so disruptive.
It’s possible for fans to reign in bad behavior, even in prechat which is usually regulars, but it has to be a concerted effort to do.
Report
This is exactly one of the problems currently running in Ruze’s chat, and I do mean his LIVE char, not just prechat. There’s a BNF constantly offtopic talking about themself and having their clique talk to them personally, doesn’t seem to realize Rule 5 applies to them.
Report
tbh, when i saw that numbers tweet, i wanna direct reply them and saying stuff like “it’s not good to compare numbers”, but then i remember Ruze doesn’t like ppl “whiteknight” him and just let him handle it.
Can those annual survey come faster tho?
Report
White knighting is when you’re downplaying very clearly bad behavior or waving off stuff that should get someone yelled at. Calling out blatantly bad fan behavior isn’t really that, so you’d be in the right to do so.
Report
yes, but Ruze is being pretty assertive bringing up rules soon after things happen.
Report
Does any holostar ever ban anybody?
Report
aside from the usual spammers/trolls i’ve seen shinri ban disruptive people a couple times. once for being weird and once for treating the chat like a discord. both times he said nothing, just banned silently. i wish he’d enforce the rules for his regulars, though. SH2 was painful.
Report
I think banchou banned my account from chatting 😭😭 my comments won’t show up on his chat but it works well on tavi’s. I must have done something wrong on the earlier days, maybe when I first joined the community when I wasn’t aware of the unspoken rule 😭 anyway, I already have a new account and I’m also already aware of that unspoken rule so all is good.
Report

((for PC users I am so sorry for the formatting, idk what happened–))

I’ve seen Rio directly call out someone who wasn’t behaving and saying they were banning them. The chatter wasn’t being a troll, they just messed up the chat vibe. I think everyone needs to just grow thicker skin and start banning more.

ruze has banned spammers and trolls. I remember he banned a bunch during his palworld stream due to tourists.
Report
Spammers and trolls are easy what about actual misbehaving fans they dont take the hint?

Theres only so much that the boys can do about that, if they cant be told off by gentle parenting then they should be bullied off the fandom just like tako and sushi. Simple as that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

jurard banned a spammer once but that’s about it as far as I remember.

I’ve seen Altare and Shien 100% ban people live. Sometimes, if it’s particularly egregious rule-breaking it will be addressed out loud as an example, but it’s funny seeing rule breakers disappear from the on-screen streamed chat and you know they’ve been timed out.
