this is probably the healthiest way to go about this hobby. I learned my lesson the hard way by getting too overly attached to talents (I was a duo magnoir fan lol…) i feel a lot more regular now like how i used to be towards streamers before discovering hololive/holostars after spending a year not prioritizing streams over my own life.

i’m caught somewhere between excitement for my ex-kamioshi’s reincarnation, general meh feelings about lando’s content in the past year, having other oshis that i want to support (even if they don’t quite match my passion for magni when he was active), and the fact that i generally enjoyed lando before he was in holo. idk what to expect or how to react and i’m nervous. most of all i wonder how i’ll feel about him outside of a unit. early HQ days meant so, so much to me and i still rewatch their collabs and vods all the time just to feel something, so idk if caspurr is going to give me that same feeling. i doubt it, but i’m open to being wrong. sorry for the wordvomit u_u

dude waited wayyyy too long to get back into vtubing and most of his Magni fans have moved on to other people. if he wasnt sure he shouldve at least done png tubing until then.
Happy for the magmites that spent a year watching him do flesh streams i guess since now they finally have some type of vtuber to draw out instead of just a guy in a sweater vest.

to be fair, he had mentioned quite some time ago that something was in the works and he was working with an artist.. and then that fell through and he had to start over from scratch. We don’t really know how long everything was in the works before and it’s likely it took some time to find a new artist to start over. Though you are right he could have started pngtubing earlier but I have a feeling he was hesitant for whatever reason or his design was still in the works (assuming working with the old artist) and he didnt think it would take this long.

Why are you guys so defenseive, if I heard rumours that there was some callout doc or something about my oshi I’d want to know, too. It’s good that the doc was actually a nothingburger when it came to Shinri but the suspicion towards somebody for asking is bizarre.

A doc where they doxxed his alt account and tied it to his corpo name for simply tweeting “let lawyers handle things”? Yes there was. It wasn’t only him, the doc listed a hundred different vtubers/clippers/merch sellers who even vaguely seemed to support Doki or didn’t 100% support what the other corpo did back in February.

I am on the fence about the podcast, it feels like if you keep up with either of their content it almost immediately becomes constant rehashing, which I do think would be fixed with a release schedule change so they have more time to do things inbetween their work endeavors.
But, I also really doubt it will die, at least not for a while, even if numbers get low. Not because of Lando but because of Connor actually.
He’s said on his own streams tons of times that he loves attending cons and was desperately trying to find a framing device so he could have meet & greets, with the implication being that the current attention he was getting at cons as a PL was kind of goche and he felt bad about it. I think as long as cons are fun for him they’ll keep it going along somehow.
