Maybe i’m just a bit of a superficial bitch at heart but I really don’t like caspurr the pngtuber and I do hope his live2d is a lot better. Other than that I’m happy, the debut was cheeky and cute enough that ill probably tune whenever I can because his streaming time is not the best for me right now.

I am a superficial bitch when it comes to chubas 90% of the time so you’re not alone atleast. It was just tongue in cheek enough to make me happy about everything and he does seem really inspired. I am happy! I do hope he gets his live2d and design from his mama sooner rather than later though lol.

the concept sheet is decent enough (if a bit uninspired in the design compared to magni) but the quality of the PNG really doesn’t match it. i understand why he didn’t want to wait for the live2d to be finished, i’m sure he’s been working on this for long enough and wanted to just get it out there already. most indie vtubers don’t get a high quality l2d in their debut anyways. that being said… did he really have to do his debut today? it seems he had almost nothing planned for today. i guess even if he did it next week he’d probably still be doing everything the day before, and his assumption is 99% of the chat already knows who he is, but still.

I almost wonder if he drew the png instead of his new mama from his reference sheet. The linework looks really similar to his non stylized pieces. I think he knew that if he wanted to debut as a vtuber he had to do now rather than later because if not they’re would simply be too much time. If we wanna talk numbers if he waited anymore time than this, I’d doubt he’d ever get to 1k on his debut scream. After all, it’s been almost a year since he died.

Honestly if he’d stayed quiet and then done this around the same time as Randon, he’d probably be in a better place right now in terms of finances and fan perception. But there’s loads of behind the scenes stuff we can’t know.

The main advantage Randon had was that he already had a Live2D model, which is his current orc. And even then his orc is already considered waaaaaaay outdated compared to his compemporaries. Lando didn’t have a vtuber model at all. Starting from scratch put him far far far behind.

dont think Randon had an actual png in order for streaming until a month or two in, which was why he used that green orb png with facial expression stickers for a while which he turned into a nice bit until then. Kinda wish Lando couldve done something like that or used a PNG that was a bit more simple looking until the model came in but better something than nothing.
