Tbh he’s probably more focused on shorts for growth/exposure right now + he might feel uncomfy returning to streaming so soon after the incident. Especially since we have no idea what really happened, so streaming might not be in his foreseeable future.

Hi new starsmin watcher here. Read a few pages and wanted someone to explain why Magni is so disliked? I didn’t experience the whole graduations period thing so wanted to know a bit more about it.
What about Vesper? Looking at vods I noticed he wasn’t there for a lot of the full Tempus collabs, is there a reason why? From my POV just felt like Vesper seem like he’s disinterested in hanging out with others.

Vesper was very interested in hanging out with others but has a serious anxiety disorder that made socializing difficult if he was stressed out. He attended many collabs and often talked in the boys chats n stuff, but especially when he came back from Japan and was very stressed from not being able to take his medication with him (common for many meds, Machina had that happen to him in jp too but it was adhd not axiety meds) he was too stressed for collabs for two or three months and got back to it after that. Just health related, not distinerest.

It feels like it comes down to when and how they graduated. They basically went missing and graduated around their anni which pushed it back, made everyone worried, and really messed up the mood of it. This happened also when the jp holostars debuted their subunit, Unplan, which was pretty unfortunate.
Them leaving without so much as a goodbye really rubbed people the wrong way also. I didn’t follow RM/PL accounts as much as I did now so correct me if I’m wrong on this but Magni was still streaming as Lando as if nothing was wrong and on one stream referred to the job as a thorn in his side. I could be getting details about that comment wrong though, so don’t take my word. I want to say he made quite a few comments regarding the situation around his graduation that rubbed people the wrong way but I’d have to go digging for them.

I think this was the best explanation of everything and why so many people don’t like lando/magni in private spaces even though he’s still close to certain boys. The thorn comment right before graduation announcement irrc and constantly streaming on PL but not on his main account really made some people genuinely mad and I still do get a bit annoyed when i’m reminded of them. I will also add that at the end when he was magni you could feel that every stream felt like a chore to him. He would stream for an hour, not get menshi content done or anything like that and generally just not give a shit and it was sad to see. It definitely ruined some of starsen momentum as well and even if the boys are all still chill with eachother and whatever happened happened. I personally will probably never be 100% happy with him and he was my ex kamioshi.

(OP) It sounds like it’s a complicated debate for Magni, judging from what everyone had posted. It doesn’t sound good when he did not handle the situation well during that difficult period, that explains why a lot of people are scornful towards him. I won’t comment much as I don’t watch him but thank you for giving me some insight.

I can’t say about Magni but I’ve followed Vesper from year 1 and still follow him on his indie account today.
The lack of collabs was due to multiple factors. Deep social awkwardness, perms problems, timeslots not working out, and some turmoil in the family during the first year. He’s very willing to collab, but he’s too afraid to ask. That’s why those who do collab with him tend to be the outgoing ones to reach out first like Magni.
Those who follow him a long time know that he was severely affected by his father’s physical abuse, and learned that isolation = safe. The abuse also shaped lot of behavioural issues against strict figures of authority. Tempus year 1 was suffocatingly strict to the point they won’t even allow a book club.
To make things worse he suffers hallucinations that trigger from anxiety. They’re usually kept under control with medicine, but when he went to Japan for Stars work he had to leave all of that behind because Japan’s drug rules are weird. The stress combined with the lack of medication was a terrible combo.
In the end he couldn’t take it anymore and resigned. It’s rumoured that he ended up in a mental hospital for a while because when he came back he said “I just escaped the zoo” which is apparently a euphemism for a mental ward.

(OP) If that were the case then it’s a significant loss that Vesper had left as I enjoyed his collabs with the guys & girls, he had such good synergy. I wouldn’t have guessed he is socially awkward at all. Given that situation, I hope he is in a good place now that doesn’t give him too much stress and anxiety, idol work isn’t easy from what I’ve seen.

Yeah, it’s a real shame. Vesper is in a much better place now. Also ignore the anons who think the idol stuff is easy. They know don’t what’s like behind the scenes, thinking it’s the same amount of work as a regular streamer.

Just to make a comparison point, IRyS hated/disliked her original model, but as far as I’ve seen or been made aware, she never publicly shit on any of her Papa’s, artist or either rigger. And she delt with that model for far longer than Magni did his.
