The free model is good but it’s not at the level of a professional model. Also asking fans to help (even if payed) is just asking for problems down the line, especially with how… polarized his fanbase can be, lol.

Hot take, I’m glad that Randon isn’t in stars now. His mental state is much better compared to a year ago where he was drunk out of his mind on stream in Japan due to stress and anxiety. Corpo life isn’t suitable for him and I’m happy that he enjoys playing crazy ass games without needing to ask for perms.

A part of me wondered if things would have been different if he joined when the rules were a bit more relaxed, like vg and armis era.
But then again Shinri struggles with only being able to get perms 3 times a month. That’s not enough for Randon searching and picking up the nuttiest games out there like Jesus and Hypno.

I just don’t think he’d be cut out for all the idol stuff. Even if he got perms for every game he’d ever want, a major part of the role is singing and dancing. Some members were able to bloom into the role when they need to (like Roberu and Oga) but they have to want it. It seemed like an obligation for Vesper, something he had to push past to get to the stuff he actually liked doing. I think he thought he wanted it when he auditioned but when it came time to start prepping for 3D it became too much. Either that, or he just somehow didn’t know how much music and idol stuff was a part of being a holostar. Plus, after his first Japan disaster, I don’t think he’d have much of a desire to go back for other holo activities.

(same anon) and I guess Roberu also has a similar level of hesitancy to do stuff like karaokes but it’s pretty clear he’s committed to the idol path in his own way since it doesn’t look identical to everyone’s. Maybe Vesper just didn’t give it enough of a chance, or maybe he was never cut out for it, we’ll probably never know.
