Nonnie Connor has been like this even back as far as the Zuthar days. It’s not new behavior activated by Lando, just old stuff that they both bounce back and forth between each other.
Also as much as the attitudes suck, they’re extremely boiler plate ones among men. All of my exes had/have very similar ideas and behaviors about their health and diets. It’s the combination of poor American public school health class lessons and parroted gymbro advice with no further research.
Diet culture is still strong and thriving out there sadly, it’s just rebranded as fitness culture.

It’s the fact that he knows and has stated in the past (idk if it was as Bettel or Connor) that he actually has body dysmorphia that makes it all so much more off-putting. Men need to do better. I can’t imagine saying those types of things to any of my friends struggling with it.

Lando has also admitted to body dysmorphia, showed us all of his most anorexic college photos on his “best hits” memories streams at least twice, and admitted to getting most of his mindset and advice from 4chan /fit/ and alpha douchebro podcasts. Unfortunately we just need to wait for them to fall off of the yo-yo diet again. It gets like this every con season. They get insecure about being seen in public/hosting mng or booths, starts talking about having to be family friendly, clean up his language, he needs to get fit, clean up his diet, he’s so ugly, needs a haircut, needs new clothes, etc. and drags all of his friends into it as ‘accountability’. The only good application of this fear based mindset was getting clean off of alcohol and drugs, and they just fell in again on the BIJ karaoke celebration lol.
