re: caspurr’s new song: it’s pretty good but i hope he studies some chord theory before he writes another one. that d major chord in the bridge doesn’t work in that key, and the main progression is decent but it would benefit from some inversions to help with the sense of rising tension he was going for. for his level of experience it’s still very impressive, there are just some things that untrained ears don’t pick up on

Public sector work would honestly be an amazingly smart play on his part. Pay isn’t great, but it’s not often intensely difficult work and provides the option for stable insurance benefits. Basically the only way in the US to guarantee affordable insurance any more.

There’s a prorated system in place for Federal part-timers. They pay more than a full-time public servant and may have to put in more months to qualify for certain things, but that still puts them ahead of many private sector workers.
Ex. “Part-time work is prorated for determining qualification requirements. For example, an employee who works 20 hours a week would receive credit for 6 months of experience at the end of 12 months of work.” [Because their rates are calculated from a baseline assumption of 40-hour weeks.]

I mean it’s definitely plausible, but they’re also just…vibrant colors you’d see with candies. If you’re cooking, it’s a pretty harmless way to be cheeky.

It seems like they’re sour candy strips (?) and those usually come in either a bunch of color stripes on one piece like a rainbow or solid red/blue, at least as far as US American candies go. I’d say it could be unintentional but he tends to put a biiit more thought into stuff and with every color able to be seen by the human eye at his disposal, it seems awfully convenient that he’d pick those ones specifically, and only 3 of them at that.
