theres a difference between asking if they plan to make one and pressuring them into doing it. some people dont want another sns to manage, especially if theyre already pretty tapped out doing streams and other work. ive been part of enough fandoms to know there are absolutely people doing it, publicly or not.

idk if it’s allowed to prefer him in his corpo “form” and not caring about his PL, and i do feel bad about it. not only because i feel like i’m not fully support him, but also due to judgement with “you only like him because of his model” or “you just a corpo bootlicker because you don’t support the person behind him”.

that’s okay new nonnie. there are many fans who also don’t follow their PLs and just stick to their corpo account and that’s normal. You’ll mostly find them on places like discord, twitter, /vt/ & maybe reddit because it’s considered taboo or against chat etiquette to talk about PLs even if it’s an open secret coz it’s still treated as doxx info. People are only here because it’s safe to talk about PLs without the fear of getting banned.

I dont think it’s about corpobootlicking. Corpos just have a market research team that knows what people want, and indies rarely either align with popular consumer tastes or have a research team. All our boys didn’t have one, they were indie indie indie, since Holo loves their cinderellas

Not really, a lot of them seem to really enjoy the branding they’ve been given. Based on comments the grads have made, and some comments current ones have said, they aren’t all 100% happy with the role they were given.

I genuinely have no idea how to read what you’ve written. Of course no one is going to be 100% happy with their models/branding/etc., that’s fucking impossible. Especially right out the gate. Also ‘role’? Do you mean their lore or something else?
Anyways, a vtuber should be talented enough they can shift their branding to be more in line with what they want or like. Yeah they can’t 180 their lore or whatever, but they can shift stuff similar to how Council/Promise dialed back their cosmic horror lore to more relatable levels.
