idk why people are armchair diagnosing Lando with a mental disorder. the only thing he seems to have is impatience to stick by something and grow it when he doesn’t see immediate results, and as a natural result he shows menhera symptoms. Having an actual friend with bipolar + adhd she actually goes all out on everything she does until she cant do anything more about it (now obviously not all people with bipolar act the same but there’s a lot more to bipolar than just being impulsive)

the whole “lando clearly has issues with xyz mental disorder and that’s why i quit him/caspurr/magni” thing never sat right with me cus like… idk how to word it but his content IS definitely sporadic and flip floppy and he’s a guy with no direction grasping onto anything that will give him clout and that’s plenty reason enough to not wanna watch him anymore. there’s no need to armchair diagnose him with every disorder in the book to justify it. if you don’t like his attitude and approach to content then just say that. we don’t have to make assumptions about the chemical imbalances in his brain to explain it. we as a society need to stop being so loose with mental/physical illness and disabilities because it just spreads rampant misinformation and discourages people from seeking help.
(side note, people need to stop saying “_____ needs therapy/meds.” looking at the state of health care in the US and nevada specifically, it’s fully reasonable to assume anyone who knows something is wrong with them probably can’t do shit about it anyways. and if you get on meds, are suddenly unable to afford it, and then have to go cold turkey, withdrawal is actually deadly in some cases.)

Look, you aren’t wrong, no one should do that….but you can’t look at everything that’s happened and tell me that there isn’t somethingvery clearly up with him.
Also you don’t need to have mental problems to want to or be recommended to seek out a therapist. Sometimes an impartial POV is needed to help you sort things out. (I did that myself when I was having problems.) But it only works if you’re willing to listen or want to work on things.

idk about you anon but i tend to refrain from making medical judgements about literal strangers, be it to their face or to others online. it’s super strange and off-putting. if you’re the judgemental type more power to you i guess. and once again, suggesting therapy or medical intervention to somebody who lives in this nightmare of a country is invasive and presumptuous. if you have experience with therapy, i’m sure you know how expensive it can be, even with insurance. and since lando is entirely freelance, what are the chances he has decent insurance, or any at all? the insurance nightmare is part of the reason connor struggled to get to a doctor and everyone felt so sorry for him, where’s that energy here? in a perfect world where people could get the help they need and mental health wasn’t so stigmatized then this might not be an issue. but unless we have some radical overnight changes, saying “he needs therapy/meds” is not the point you think you’re making.
