the whole thing is just kinda crazy. both got model upgrades shortly before, which is at a bare minimum a 4 figure investment from cover, AND there was a long awaited karaoke scheduled before radio silence. wasnt there also some issues with stars getting locked out because of the 2FA or something around the same time too? the stars aligned in the worst way possible, i remember anons swearing up and down that they had gotten robbed or in a car accident or that someone’s dad died because honestly yeah it DIDNT make sense lmao

The 2nd 2FA issue only happened during the scheduled zatsu he had in his last week since management added emotes during his model debut and prob messed with settings that he couldnt get fixed at the time since he streamed at hours management usually isnt awake, so I don’t think it’s that.Only thing that makes sense to me is the tachibana music rrat since they had a duet in the works with him and Vesper was in the middle of working on an original song.

Yozora Mel, a senior member from the first generation, is probably the closest example of someone in the company accidentally leaking something and the company being very upfront with why they were terminating her in probably the most amicable termination to happen.

And the timing of their graduations being simultaneous and at the Tempus anniversary points to contracts not being renewed. Not to mention both of their accounts becoming inactive and the official Twitter saying their activities would be halted “for a while” implies the company was uncertain one way or another. When contract negotiations take place and you’re not sure if someone that’s working for you is going to stick around, you lock them out of the accounts until negotiations finalize.
Everything about the Magnoir graduation points to negotiations breaking down and Magnoir wanting to stay (see all the time and money they put into their new model debuts), but not being happy with whatever terms they would have had to agree with. This also lines up with Magnoir being removed from all the WIP Tempus projects: Historically the contributions of graduated members have stayed in WIP projects, but if these graduations were the result of negotiations breaking down, then of course managements might feel a bit bitter about the duo not taking their deal and feeling just spiteful enough to take them out of celebratory projects, but not enough to ban future mentions of them that ShinySpicy like to do because technically Magnoir wouldn’t have done anything wrong.
Tachibana legal issues rrat doesn’t make sense given the simultaneous timing of the graduations at the anniversary and the fact that other talents did not go through this during their legal issues. Frankly, Tachibana rratters just come off as another way people need to create a scapegoat to blame things on same way as Lando haters blame Lando. People would prefer to have a villain rather than simply acknowledging the most open-ended likelihood because it doesn’t provide the same amount of satisfaction or closure.
The removal of them in forthcoming projects is probably more due to IP issues because Vesper’s image was obscured but left in parts of Woven fates (Vestea and magmites were in the thumbnail in the corners of the last animation), but anything with their voice involved would obviously have to be removed and if they’re not singing then why show their character after graduating? I don’t think management would be ‘bitter’ about it it just made sense to do.

As for Magni, based on how none of the boys knew what happened and his resentment over the situation, it sounds like a legal bomb exploded. It does NOT have to be Tachibana. It could be anything. Some cases could drag for years for stupid reasons. If it was that the case, the Stars management thought it would be better to let the talent go. Yes I’ve read that other talents had their legal issues settled quickly, but one legal issue is not the same as another legal issue. In the end we don’t know why Stars couldn’t resolve it.

realistically i think the professor will exist in some form for the foreseeable future. its a massive cash cow and he’s already built a huge following off of it even before magni times. if he could somehow make professor into a vtuber and start building some lore with a professor character i think it could be best of both worlds
He has said vtuber will be a separate channel and entirely separate persona, but he’ll keep making the professor videos because that is what pays the bills, he was pretty up front about that. More likely than not it will be only be videos though, can’t imagine he’d go back to doing lecture streams without Blake to bounce off of.

I love Magni and I love Lando but I haven’t really been able to keep an interest in his lando streams, with a few exceptions.. sigh. I hope being a vtuber again gives him that creative spark I loved so much as magni. I really just have a hard time with watching gaming streams though so that might be more of my issue
yeah seems like he’s in a creative rut as far as streaming goes. glad the professor videos are getting views at least, but i’ll check out a stream from him when he’s doing a creative idea (like the confessional stream he did) or whenever he gets his vtuber model again.
