A little vent here since it’s off topic, the boys making period jokes are getting stale for me, it was funny at first, but then it got full on weird with Jurard’s hold it in comment. I hope the boys reflect on their words because Holostars is mostly supported by female fans, and it comes off as them being insensitive.
Why make a separate post about this when the discussion is just one page back? The “hold it in” comment is also from one month ago and you’re bringing it up now?

I wonder what the difference of directions Aqua thinks the company and her have that influenced her decision to graduate was. Has Hololive really been doing anything very different lately?
It sounds like she had been having trouble managing things in Hololive for a while, going off a Fanbox post she had on her PL earlier this year. Suisei strongly hinted it could just be the restrictions and how long everything takes compared to the earlier days. You have to remember: Hololive was extremely different when people joined pre-3rd or even 4th gen. It does sound like Aqua tried to make it work, if she really was having trouble for so long, but finally decided it was better for her to move on.
what’s aqua’s PL? never really watched much of her due to language barrier but i enjoyed the translations of her introvert development and gamer skills
Take it with a grain of salt but I’ve read people suggest idol workload as a possible reason. Hololive has grown tremendously from the time Aqua debuted and with that comes more expectations to learn new songs and choreo, gain more sponsorships, etc.
Different anon but there’s a point to be made that ‘being an idol’ and ‘being a famous idol’ are two very different things, and Aqua might have adored and excelled at the first, but was unable to handle the second. She obviously loved being on stage and singing and being an idol for her fans, but the larger HoloPro gets, the more the talents will inevitably get wrapped up in shit that isn’t just streaming and singing, and Aqua might simply have not gelled with larger corpo idol life, despite clearly loving the bones of the job itself.
I just mentioned yesterday that it’s good to keep track of PL accounts because talents could be here today gone tomorrow… Didn’t expect it to immediately hit hard.
Wasnβt really a fan of aqua but being a vtuber with holo for so long, nearly from the beginning is commendable. I know she made a lot people smile so I gotta give her respect for that π«‘ hope she does well wherever she goes next
I don’t know how well this is known nowadays because she hasn’t been a super active member in a while, but Aqua busted her ass like crazy for Holo in the early days and was one of the most well-known faces that made it what it is today, on a similar level to other early talents like Fubuki and Sora. I wish the best for her.
i remember she made the effort of networking in the early days when holo was the small new kid on the block even though she’s super introverted to the point she struggles with ordering food
