Saw an interesting discussion on HoloPlus so I kinda want anons’ thoughts on the matter.
Obviously the boys have to find a healthy balance between personal things and work, and a fair portion of that work isn’t onstream. But even keeping this mind, do you think the Overlap Hell is limiting their growth and/or viewer retention?
As in, do you think it would help all of the boys if they and/or the mane-sans could coordinate schedules with one another to ensure they aren’t so extensively overlapping each other’s streams?
My thoughts are that it’s (obviously) impossible to avoid any overlap whatsoever, but that staggering start times by 1-2 hours might be a nice goal to shoot for. Outside of streams where they want to interact with each other in some way (like collabs).
What i find completely hilarious is that Prime Time is EMPTY. It’s not that they overlap, is that they have the weirdest hours.

People are at work/school during 8 AM – 12 PM. Prime time for Anglophone North American audiences is 8 PM – 11 PM. Add and/or subtract 3 hours to account for time zone differences between the west and east coasts.
Not really, I guess? I think people will watch who they want to. If someone is streaming a game I like, over my oshi who is streaming a game Im not as interested in, then I will watch the other person. If all the boys had time slots where they never overlapped each other, not all viewers would be watching every single stream available, even if they had time to.
I think the problem with most people come with timezones. I would watch Tavi if he didnt stream at 5am for me. I think whenever night comes around, there is a significant amount of viewers lost because they are sleeping. When the boys were in japan, I missed a lot of their streams because their timezone was basically opposite of mine.
Im not really sure if there is a fix for the problem since theres so many members now. Back when tempus was just 4 people, there was almost no reason for overlap and yet it still occurred lol

ARMIS and shinyspicy don’t usually overlap except for Jurard and Tavi sometimes and their viewer rentention is a lot better. Staggering would be better but I don’t think it’s gonna help that much when the boys who start early and are now going for longer streaming times (Sorry Bettel) also they barely use their group schedule calendar outside of a view which could help a lot but idk!

Genuine congrats to Kunai Nakasato on her graduation. She and Vivi have transparently wanted out for ages now, and I’m happy she didn’t have to wait out the year like most were suspecting was the case. Fingers crossed that Vivi exits soon as well so they can stream together again.
Do you guys think it’s true that Niji wanted the next batch of graduations to wait at least 6 months since the first big migration? They can’t force them not to quit I guess but I can see why the talents themselves would accept waiting so the projects their peers did don’t get overshadowed by their sad news. I wonder if this means we’ll get others along with Vivi too…

She’s been pretty openly unhappy with Niji both as Vivi and on her PL account. Even prior to the Selen and Pomu graduations, but it’s gotten more blatant since then.

Kotoka just returned from a break but she’s less active than before. tbh I don’t think you can really tell who going to leave unless their PLs drops hints. Everyone thought Kotoka wasn’t coming back. I’m glad they’re homies with some non-Nijis I follow so they can still collab when they leave.

They’re using clickbait titles and thumbnails to make Holostars EN members look bad, and they even uploaded a member-only stream from Usada Pekora. On top of that, they’ve been calling Ollie’s viewers “poor,” which is just not cool.

In all honestly, it’s called the “hololive board” for a reason, and the main explosive hatred of the boys is when they come into contact cross-branch with the hololive girls, particularly EN. Its been very transparent for a long time that a tiny minority try to stir up anti-male/anti-stars/”sexpest” sentiment in general, and cancel “pro-male interaction” girls among other corpos and indies, to very little reaction of the actual fanbase. One of them has been losing their mind in /orc/ over the Tenma collab whilst no Phase fans give a shit, this one is continually losing their mind in catalog over VTRP while no indie/Vallure fans give a shit. Perhaps the same one guy who was obsessively tracking Jurard and posting hatemarketing/happy birthday spam, or ritual posting “terminate Groombullet”. Seems like the majority of posters have gotten tired of it and simply ignore what they don’t like, and barely give a “who cares?” reaction to any note of a stars-to-ID/Bae/ERB interaction.
honestly it gets to a point where even if the bullying was still offensive its so common that no one cares anymore. Its like hearing a yapping untrained chihuahua bark all day, eventually people just tune them out.
