Every week there’s something else that makes me ask, are anycolor/Niji NDAs really that loose in comparison to Cover’s, or is there just not the same culture of keyfabe?
I mean, what are they gonna do? Fire them? Ok, well, you just gave their new indie persona a massive boost to kickoff their indie career. With how they let their talents get treated poorly in basically every one of their branches and the extreme favoritism they show the popular ones, it isn’t a surprise the less popular ones don’t respect the company.
Anycolor made their bed and now they are gonna have to lie in it.
NDAs are basically unreinforcable when it comes to overseas talents. Tie that in with the fact that a lot of Niji grads have overt resentment towards their time in the company and aren’t likely to respect the rules imposed upon them, and you see why things resembling NDA breaches happen so frequently.
This. Legal action is incredibly difficult to the point of impractical to take on someone in another country. And you can see here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQcE1BCzmOY) the resentment when people like Kuro talk about how he wasn’t allowed to keep games or online accounts that he spent his own personal money on during his time in the company… Niji forcing livers to buy games and then stealing them if people leave the company, which is a stark difference from what we know of Holo as mentioned by talents like Mumei that have said on stream that the company has a budget allocated for talents to buy games.
I also think some comments below are a bit misguided in their perception of ex-Niji talents having looser contracts compared to ex-Holos. kson did not shy away from talking about Coco by name after her graduation. I think it’s just most talents are very cautious about it either because they genuinely want to break things off from their company work or they just don’t want to say or do anything that might cause trouble. But I guess if Michi/Mika’s experience is anything to go by (not being given a proper NDA at all), Niji might also be utterly incompetent when it comes to contracts, so calling them “looser contracts” might still be somewhat accurate lol
I think it is somewhat looser. I don’t keep up with active Niji talents’ PLs, but I’ve seen Matara react to Nina art and other graduated talents make a lot more references to their former personas than any Holo talent ever has. There’s also the live2d restrictions the other anon mentioned – I think Holos have a 3 month period after grad where they can’t use theirs.
seems like a looser contract for sure. most of the people that are graduated/terminated from there are able to use live2D models whenever they want while Hololive grads/terminations have to wait a couple months to do so.
Don’t want to add too much fire to the Great Tribalism Wars, but I have a feeling that company loyalty is not exactly at its highest in the Other Company ™ at the moment. I wouldn’t doubt that some livers are a lot more disinclined to maintain the facade now than they were in the past, for various reasons.
I don’t think that’s it. As somebody who’s a fan of Nijisanji and watches both JP and EN regularly, it’s just something that happens sometimes. When Chihiro, a longtime member, graduated at the start of this year, her new persona’s debut stream was tweeted out by her friends in the same wave, on their Niji accounts. When a NijiKR girl graduated and went to Vspo about two or so years ago, after she debuted in Vspo a little while later she collabed with some NijiJP members. And it’s not like the same couldn’t be said with Hololive. Marine and Korone collabed with Mikeneko on her channel some time ago.
That’s my mistake, then, I’m sorry for not knowing. I don’t know much JP and didn’t really watch her streams, so I didn’t know the context. That is true, though, I do remember seeing some people talk about Haachama’s message.
that being said, i don’t get the impression that things are ok over there. hopefully things can get better both in the company and outside of it ! i want these anime characters to succeed!!
Thank you! Yeah, things haven’t been great, the members have spoken about feeling depressed and down about all that’s happened and what they keep reading about them online. It’s been hard for them and fans, but I have hope. It’s been nice to see some Stars boys collabing with them, I really enjoyed the Pico Park 2 collab!
how much money would you need to be paid to go up to Your Oshi at a convention and slap them across the face as hard as possible? you need to
approach them first,
get out as fast as possible without getting caught by security,
you cannot mention what youre doing or why youre doing it (you can do so after the fact).
you Cannot just swat at their face, you have to actively deliever a forceful slap in order to receive the money.
you’ll be provided a photo and a description of what theyre wearing, gym chalk, and therapy after the fact. all money will be given to you in a way only you can access and there will be no legal nor widespread consequences by introducing the money to the economy.
if you fail, you don’t receive any money and you have to deal with whatever consequences as the result of slapping a public figure in a public space are.
(disclaimer: we are on an anonymous gossip forum. if you actually slap someone because you were promised a million dollars by another anon . . . that’s on you. this is a hypothetical in the same vein as the immortal snail)
Very off topic, but it’s been fun seeing clips of this normal flesh man learn about vtubers and fandom outside of fighting games after being in proximity of Doki and Sykkuno. And those TwitchCon Sykkuno stories making it clear why some vtubers might not want to go to something like this in-person lol
While we’re at it, I hate that Google defaults old accounts to brand accounts. Can’t receive gifted membership on my ancient account; have to create a separate Google account and use that instead for the chance. Might as well be not integrated.
Back on topic, Twitch allows gifters to choose who to send gifted menshi to. Maybe Youtube should borrow the idea while also fixing their gifting algo to prioritize active subscribers.
forreal i have an account that might be older than some ppl in the audience and ive never been gifted. i know i could make a new account but my current account has like hundreds of subscriptions and saved playlists/videos.
they definitely fucked with something on the backend – i watch bettel religiously & suddenly stopped getting his gift menshi, but i tuned into jurard for the first time in ages the other day and got his after like 5 minutes. if nothing else, it’s motivating me to watch the boys i don’t normally watch, but i still miss betsy’s watchalongs ๐
been kinda put off from giving gifts lately tbh… sure money is still going to the talent but it feels bad when the benefit doesn’t go to an active member of the community ๐
I don’t want to come off as rude or something but it’s not that expensive that you can’t afford it right? At least don’t come around begging for it like a charity.
I pay for membership for all my oshis and drop some for non-oshis every once in a while. It would be nice to at least have a chance to get a random gift sub if Youtube would just fix their shitty system.
*sigh* First someone links to the okbuddy subreddit, now someone linking to a unicorn. I really hope adminchama gets some moderators for this place because I’m kinda tired of trolls lurking here posting garbage and spamming negativity on the boys and reporting more legitimate discussions.
The moment I point out โyou are targeting a holo listener now?โ the comment disappeared in minutes lolโฆ good work adminsan. At least thereโs someone with some brain cells around.
Community, take better care of this โsafe spaceโ and donโt let the hololive antis dropping by get too comfortable.

Some people have been conditioned to be in fighting mode from their time in the other fanbase. Don’t bring that culture over here. Negativity only begets more negativity.
it’s one thing to identify trolls here and their MOs so people know not to engage, but bringing them up unprompted from other places makes no sense, esp if you suspect that they’re here. like they’re living in your head rent-free and they’re gonna see it and giggle because they got under your skin.
We gotta get a ruling on not bringing random twitter users/names in the fandom/gossip about other platforms up here. Not that I think it should stifle genuine discussions, but just that it 99% evolves into shit flinging and tribalism without any real relevance to the boys or talents.
fr. hope this becomes an actual rule. I don’t give a shit about what individual fans of the boys/girls are doing. If I wanted to see that i’ll just use my “for you” page on twitter. Literally does nothing but actually turn away people from discussing them at all, honestly it just comes off as an intimidation tactic at times.
I’m not a bubbie or whatever but I feel bad for normal fans that feel like they can’t talk about him without some tribalistic fan bringing up BNF drama and then starmin wonder why discussion of certain boys in the community are dead.
You may be a lewd little one but you canโt match my depravity since i want to hold his hand and make him a healthy meal. No one can compare to my sinful debauchery
wdym theyre removing the block button from Twitter? where am i gonna find my carefully curated list of artists who draw NSFW of these anime boy streamers i like now that they’re all going private?
I wish everyone would just go to bluesky. None of the talents use it so it would be a perfect place to rebuild the NSFW side of fandom at the very least
A-chan and Nene tried it for a while, but stopped using it not long after they started, unfortunately. I wish it caught on. It is a much better platform.

he won’t be able to fully remove the block feature, it’s against apple and google’s app store TOS. that said, i’ve heard rumors that he might be changing it so that people you block can still see your posts, which is a huge problem for nsfw holo artists in particular. i recommend using the twitter “lists” feature to keep all your fav artists in one place, and following them sooner rather than later so you can still see their tweets if they go priv
