Nooooo A-chan is retiring….. The end of an era….

Sad to hear that it’s because of family medical issues too.

If the EN boys dont eventually get summer outfits like JP I’m going to riot. Sorry but I always like the summer outfits better than any other outfit reveals in Holopro.

Report

i thought i heard from one of the girls that even the girls aren’t doing any sort of holosummer event this year, so we might want to keep expectations low…

Report

>***EVENTUALLY***
I’m not expecting them this year after all the 3d and new outfits

Report

my b, misread

Report

I’m hoping it’s just some weird delay caused by all of the other StarsEN activity that happened right before summer started. We’ve got a couple more months they can hit the window within.

If I’m really coping, Tempus Week would be a fun time to drop summer fits.

Report

JP boys have summer outfits and new years outfits, and nothing for EN… I feel sad about it too

Report

my fave is the New Year’s outfit! ^^

Report

I know there’s a general 6 month ban on PL activities after debuting, but does that apply to artists too re: their illustration careers? Yuniiho is a vtuber mama so I’m wondering what will happen with her kids. I imagine now that she’ll be busy with Holo it might be harder for them to squeeze in for a new outfit and such. Although Zen is getting a new outfit soon so maybe they planned for this and got it commed before she went on hiatus.

Report

i dont think it will ruin anything. iirc Sana/Namie was still doing her illustration work during her first 6 months in hololive (not counting the month break due to her dog). I think the rule only extends to just vtubing/streaming with their PL.

Report

(OP) Interesting, thanks!

Report

i imagine that if she makes an outfit and sends it to her client privately without any posts it should be ok, as especially in her case she has a career as an artist and its different from streaming or youtube

I don’t know why everyone is so overjoyed about ERB (or other Justice girls to some degree since they follow the boys) being openly supportive to the boys? I know the whole issue with unicorns and people being welcoming to appreciating the boys, but that comes more from the side of the fandom who watch both Hololive and Holostars afaik. I’ve seen lots of StarsEN fans who didn’t watch hololive before fawn over ERB. I mean I don’t think that’s the only reason, she’s a cracked singer and her personality is charismatic. But is the support towards the boys alone that big enough to motivate fans who don’t watch girls or interested in watching girls at all, like even fans who would rather watch other corpo boys than girls?

Because we can be sure that her fandom, along with Bae and Calli’s chat, will be relatively safer space that doesn’t treat Holostars fans like second class citizens. That’s pretty huge. No one wants to feel like they don’t belong in the fandom especially when the interactions between fans are common due to the nature of vtubers

It’s rare to find hololive vtubers who’s chats/streams feel like they’re tailored towards everyone and not just men.

They don’t have to collab with men to be that way either imo ( I think once you get past the voice, Fauna’s gaming streams are probably some of the best in EN ), but it’s a lot more of a guarantee that their community won’t be full of people that will go insane the moment she does something they consider “wrong” for sure. (like saplings freaking out over the “we’re not friends” speech)

Report

Not just Stars fans, but women overall. My oshi isn’t one of the male collabing talents, but I’ve always felt more comfortable culturewise as a female fan in their chats than my own oshi’s.

i get everyone’s enthusiasm towards ERB, but as for the rest of justice girls… not so much. they barely interact with the boys (it’s manesan who followed/made them to follow the boys) so if they decided to pander to the unicorns, i wouldn’t even bother to support them.

i do hope liz would bring EN girls (who isn’t cali, bae, and kronii) to collab with the boys tho, but i’m pessimistic.

Report

Did Ame only collab with the boys once? I remember her participating before but she never seems to be included in these discussions.

Report

she hosted the worms tournament. she was in astroneer, and was in a monopoly collab with Vesper,Magni, and Mori as a standin for Kronii

Report

my guess is that ame has mostly collabed with the boys when in groups (e.g. HoloWorm, which she organized, and being subbed in during one of the SALT collabs with Monopoly*), even though she’s also showed up in magni’s chat (i just remember when magmo came into being, LOL) and did a duet to altare during a karaoke of hers (around tempus debut period iirc?) — it’s also been a while, especially if people weren’t in the early HQ trenches to witness it live (and i’m not expecting everyone to be caught up on all older VODs, lol) — so my guess is that people think of it differently than the consistent SALT collabs or like, the boomer vs zoomer + barbie watchalongs (that were more recent, relative to other collabs with HoloEN) // edit: tried to add line breaks after editing the comment and couldn’t, rip

Ame would also frequently include Holostar concerts, birthdays, and anniversaries on both the JP and EN side in her brief news show she hosted and early after the Tempus debuts she did on multiple occasions say on stream that if seeing her interact with a boy bothered you, you needed to get some help.

I think Ame doesn’t really come up in these mixed gender collab conversations because she kinda just exists in her own bubble. She isn’t a talent that attracts the spotlight. She likes to organize big projects with a lot of people, but she doesn’t actually like to collab in the traditional sense of chatting with large groups of people she’s not familiar with, and if she’s put in environments like that she tends to go silent or even prefer to be off mic entirely, preferring to be a cameraman or presenter.

She’s a very under the radar type of person that might be the least idol-like in the company and her audience knows she’s gonna do whatever she wants at her own pace. Also she’s a fujo that used to read TF2 fanfics lol

Report

Liz has leaned into it right away, but I’ll try to remain optimistic about the other Justice girls until they make a comment one way or the other.

Report

I mean I subbed to Doki & Nana Asteria for making fun collabs and interactions with the boys too

I’m a dude who’s been a fan of the girls before Stars EN existed, so it makes sense for me to like the branches supporting each other. But I also agree with the other answers here, ESPECIALLY the stuff about feeling like you don’t belong in the fanbase. The creepy “stereotypical weeb” part of the fanbase has always put me off, and it only got worse after Stars EN debuted. That shit has been pushing me away from being part of some of the girls’ fans, even though I have nothing against the girls themselves. I still think the unicorn-friendly girls are hilarious streamers, but I can’t stand being among ඞ coomers and Stars haters. That’s why I like people like ERB

Report

Same. Dude here as well and I seriously just wish it weren’t so acceptable for weebs and unicorns to be so creepy and obnoxious. In the last several years I’ve been seeing communities of all kinds online get more and more unhinged and bigoted, not just in the vtuber sphere (though it is highly concentrated in holo fan groups). I’ve had to leave just about every small community I was in because the passive sexism/racism/-phobias kept getting out of hand and community leaders would never do anything about it. (and on a side note, trying to join communities on the other side of the spectrum has often been met with me just being ignored when I try to make friends [or bizarrely used as an emotional punching bag] because cliques view me with suspicion for being a cis-het dude)

I’m glad ERB’s been very steadfast about where her boundaries are and what type of community she wants to build.

Report

Yes, ERB being supportive of the boys is enough for me to be interested and sub. I’m someone who likes to interact with other fans through the pre-chat and be all nice and friendly and the thought of possibly interacting and being friendly to a unicorn just makes me gag. But since ERB have shown her stance on the matter and his support for the boys, the chances of me interacting with a unicorn when I’m in her chat is way lower and makes me feel more comfortable. Also her time slot is good for me and she doesn’t have a high-pitched uwu voice which is not my thing.

Report

honestly yeah. most of my EN oshis have always been very into holopro as a whole even if they don’t collab with guys they dont foster an environment in their audience where mentioning a male is taboo. its nerve wracking being in a fanbase where if one person says the wrong thing all hell breaks loose. her setting her standards so hard from the beginning and filtering out potential nutcases from her fanbase is something that helps me feel more at ease with the kind of people she will attract given i’m also a woman and don’t want to be surrounded by men that are overly posessive of a woman they’ll never meet.

Report

as someone who is the exact person you described, as in i have no interest in watching girls and would rather watch other corpo boys, yes her supporting the boys really is enough to motivate me to watch her. the only other live girl ive watched is bae specifically because she’s chill with the boys and openly interacts with them. i can only speak for myself here but it’s not like i don’t watch the girls because i don’t like them or anything, its just because i hate the gender segregation aspect of idol culture and just knowing that the audience of someone I’m watching is delusional and misogynistic enough to flip their shit if they think for even a second that their oshi isn’t fully and entirely available to them disgusts the hell out of me and ruins my enjoyment of that streamer. i feel unwelcome and out of place in those spaces so having a girl come out the gate swinging with unapologetic love for the boys is quite literally the main thing that will encourage me to check them out

Report

I’ve seen women saying that it makes her feel more relatable and less solely catered towards men, which I understand.
To be in the fandom of many of the other girls, and I say this as somebody whose kamioshi is one of the unicorn-friendly girls, you have to become tolerant of a baseline level of misogyny at all times. And men will feel entitled in that misogyny because everything, for all they know, is “for them”. So somebody whose actions actively filter that sort of fan automatically becomes appealing to women because it fosters a more hospitable environment.
I saw questions along the lines of “who anongst the girls do you watch” many times on the other site’s Stars pages, and the answers always leaned more heavily into the ID girls or girls like Bae who don’t shun the males. The support ERB is getting is not a new phenomenon, it’s a continuation of past patterns amongst female fans.

Report

The less power unicorns have over the decision-making for Cover and for individual Holo talents, the fairer a playing field for the Stars to show people how entertaining they can be.

A lot of us just also like seeing people being supportive of the same boys we’re supporting. That you felt a need to ask sort of shows that you know the answer. Yes, just being welcoming and receptive to talking to our oshis is enough for some of us to engage with a creator we’ve never heard of before.

Although I guess I can’t confidently speak for that segment of the starmin. I’ve been following HoloEN since Council debuted. Stars debuted around the same time Sana was graduating, and I fell in love with them after giving them a try.

I’ve got all the new girls PLs except Cecilia. Does anyone know who she was?

Guys remember when the bros from HOLOLIVE were talking about how cute STARS girl fans are to the point where some have to compare them to the girl talents? With ERB (allegedly a STARMIN, but not confirmed yet) already in the company, do you think they’re right to think that STARS fans can be accepted in? And when I mean STARS fan, I mean dedicated, determined and die-hard Starmins, Tempuras and Armadas. I ask this because I’ve gotten used to Holopro hiring Indies or content creators with a tinsy bit of knowledge about HOLOLIVE PRODUCTIONS, but I could be wrong.

Report

The hires across all branches have always ranged from “diehard Holopro fan” to “person who barely knows anything about Holo”. The starting assumption of your question is incorrect.

Report

OP

It just feels uncanny to me, like whenever I figure out the talent was a Stars/Live fan, my mind goes ”if I have talent and fit what Cover is looking for, I have a chance to be Holostars next gen?”. I’m just appalled to make the long story short.

Report

anon, “appalled” means horrified/shocked (in a negative way). I really don’t get what you’re saying… maybe use simple words next time

Report

I don’t mean to offend, but are you ESL? Your posts come across a bit strange and stilted… Why would you be appalled? And your original post is also worded very confusingly as well… You might want to work on language fluency for whichever branch you’re planning on applying to…

Report

Yeah, anybody with talent and the right disposition is fair game.

Report

There’s Ollie and Bae. I kinda don’t get what you’re pointing out though…

“ do you think they’re right to think that STARS fans can be accepted in?”

can u word this for me a bit differently? I mean, why can’t a Stars fan be accepted if they’re talented and fits what they’re looking for anyway??

Report

Flayon and Hakka got in, for girl talents Bae is a JP starmin

I think she’s 100% a starmin look at how she’s interacting with the guys.
