Rushia’s batshit crazy. Almost everyone in the vtubing sphere except her delusional fans can see it and has talked crap about her and her actions, especially when she tried attacking Delutaya/Aloe for no reason a couple months ago.

confession: i havent watched any of the boys or my oshis streams for months. i buy the merch because i love them so much, but i cant sit through more than 15 minutes of a stream. i think it might have to do with the fact that i hate chat and their insufferable banter, that *insert streamer name here* has no choice but to bounce off of? idk man. i do leave the boys streams on, muted, in the background to support them though! i think the last stream i fully sat through, before the 3d debuts and japan altogether, was probably before armis debuted. i can barely remember :/
to me it just sounds like you’re not enjoying the hobby anymore. maybe you’re just getting burnt out and should prob take a break for a month to see how you feel.
I have the same thing with someone in Hololive, I can’t stand the streams, but love the merch. It hurts no one, cute aesthetic, it’s not like I’m hurting economically either so as my friend once told me, if you enjoy it why quit? as long as you can afford it, its your money to do as you please
i originally got into vtubers because i loved the fanart i saw and thought some of the designs were amazing. i honestly don’t see a problem unless you outright don’t like vtubers as a whole for whatever reason

iirc king blades are the most popular penlights but i think you can also still buy the holostars live one for another day or so if you can stand the merch wait time
when did you know your oshi was your oshi? for me it was when i realized i had watched a 3 hr supa catchup/zatsu full attention on her stream no secondary activity
When I noticed I could actual watch a live stream and not just clips. I could never bring myself to watched streamers because their clips made them more entertaining than they actually were on stream. That was until I watched my oshi stream and yap about nothing yet still be really invested in his stories. What cemented it was when I bought the membership as I don’t actually have much money to spare but I just had to have more.
when I realized I could watch any stream of his and be entertained no matter the subject. It was also around the time where he was active on his PL and made an ASMR menshi, really reeled me in
