I think it’s so funny every time I see /vt/ males not even seething but just struggling to understand why Flayon is so popular with women, including other female streamers. Common Flayon W
all the holostars are decently popular with women, but I’d say flayon’s trick is how affectionate he is with his regular audience. rather than try to appeal to a broader audience, he just focuses on making sure the people who stick around feel appreciated, and I think women tend to value that more.
tbf i also have trouble understanding what people see in him but i was heavy filtered by his voice and behavior in group collabs early on. i’ve seen people saying he changed at the 6 month mark drastically and a lot of people dropped him at that point, now that people are gushing about him again i wonder if he reverted?
Nah it’s more that he settled in IMO? He had a rough patch but nowadays I think he’s found his place being more naturally himself with an audience he trusts to like him for who he is. And with all things, that sort of comfortable confidence(? using the word generously) tends to attract people.
I used to be put off by him too but now that he’s toned things down a bit while also no longer lowkey BTFO-ing viewers he suspects to be around for shallow reasons, I’m just like… “Good for him if he’s happy!” even if he’s not for me.
He really does have a sort of intangible quality about him, though. I’m afraid of IRL men and therefore would struggle to be friends with most of the boys IRL. But if I had to pick a guy it would be Flayon even though he’s far from being my oshi.
He does give off that peak ‘asshole cat who looks you in the eyes as he pushes your water glass off the desk but then jumps in your lap and purrs so you love him anyways’ energy.
bettel willingly singing in japanese is something i never thought id see tbh, but he did so well!

To be fair, VG as a whole are guilty of vague tweeting, to the point that it’s kind of annoying, even when it looks bad but ends up being positive.

He’s deep in the Visual Novel niche which is incredibly popular with women. So it’s not surprising now most of his fans are also ladies.

This is because he’s not a guy, he’s a cat. Which women notoriously love. Case solved
