Hearing about Bettel’s anxiety made me sad. And he said he doesn’t want help, it’s just something he has to deal with? Like, it’s not really anyone’s business, I guess, but it worried me a little.
He has already gotten help + is actively still in therapy and takes meds, you don’t gotta worry man, he’s fine and just has a lil brain issue just like a lot of us.
Nah. He might have went to therapy as a kid, but he didn’t stay in it. He went back for at least one appointment this year (?) I think? But I don’t remember if it was before or after Japan. He definitely wasn’t in it consistently and would remark on multiple occasions that he doesn’t need it or want it because it probably wouldn’t help him (then he went to the one appointment and it DID help him). I don’t recall specifics, but I remember him talking about it.
I believe that we will never see Bettelmama because if she ever had a model/fanart (like Hakkamama or Pekomamama) we would be completely annihilated. We would self combust creating another Bing Bang event
Unpopular opinion I’m sure, but I think family collabs (parents/siblings/whatever) should only be special occasion/once in a blue moon type of things, if they happen at all. Part of it is because people are insanely weird about the family members to the point it gets creepy. Like there are people who unironically oshi Twobert or Hakkabro and I have no idea how or why.
You also end up with the problem that Nerissa has: there are people that watch her more for when her family shows up than for her alone.
Twobert I kinda get because he’s shown up almost weekly at times and the guy behind him also streams regularly/has a small fanbase of his own. Like, there’s a decent amount of material for people to go off of there if they really want to, compared to most of the other family cameos vtubers have.

The family members only agreed to spend time trying to have fun and entertain people while hanging out with their loved ones. They didn’t sign up for the weird objectification some niches of fans engage in, and unlike the streamers themselves, they aren’t being compensated for it.
Yeah, that’s why some like Altare, Flayon, Vesper, Magni, and Jurard prefer not to have their relatives involved in streaming. Their families have separate lives away from the vtubing stuff. You even some members not telling their families about their vtubing jobs. Mentioning and telling stories about their families is okay except if they have spouses (e.g. Octavio’s case).
Axel only had his dad show up on his birthday stream last year but he never let his younger siblings show up. He even said if he lets his mom show up, his VOD is going to get bonk because she swears just like him, lol.
