It’s really funny when any of the lads do that, agree.
I don’t know if there’s a preferred shorthand for Axel and Shinri on stream, but a lot of the Shinri pairs are just X + Fish. So…Dogfish? “Dingofish” sounds a little too goofy to me.
Idk if this is sheer coincidence with the discussion below but Axel is in an Apex tournament with ex-NijiKR Ha Yun and a Korean Apex pro player named H1yaA.
It’s wild how Altare is literally one of the only vtubers right now who walks the line of collabing/being friendly with both Doki and NijiEn. Wonder what thats like behind the scenes lol
There’s Hakka and Ike but they’re friends for a long time before they join their respective corpos. And Flayon and Doppio but I don’t remember if they still interact or collab after the termination drama.
So far, Altare collab the noncontroversial livers such as Shu, Vanta, Alban, Ver and that’s only in big group collabs which unfortunately have some of controversial ones like Claude and Uki. He didn’t do any collabs with the NijiEN girls obviously given that Selen was the only one he collabs but ofc, she’s Doki now.
Miss Ma’am they were talking about how Altare is on good terms with Doki AND NijiEN. We know Hakka and Flayon are close to talents in Niji too but they aren’t close to Doki like Altare is. Not that Altare is the only talent that is friends with NijiEN.
The typical kurosanji subreddit bullcrap is leaking on this site. I used to go to that subreddit but it slowly became typical doomerism and terminal online conspiracy stuff which doesn’t help that some Stars antis are in that subreddit. The OP comment about Altare being on good terms with Doki and NijiEN was also seen in that post about the Deadlock charity tournament. Idk if that’s pure coincidence or whatever.
I didn’t like what NijiEN management did to Selen and how they treated the other remaining livers but I don’t think all livers there are bad people except for a few like Vox or Hex. It’s just that they’re stupid when it comes to PR. If Altare wants to hang out with some of the livers there, that’s his choice but again he’s known to be careful not to get pulled into too much drama.
I hate that subreddit because when leader revealed the vr studio he Made to play with the boys people there Made a post just making that all about Doki
I think you’re exaggerating. The comment here isn’t even bad compared to the one on the kurosanji subreddit. Surely it’s a coincidence. Comment Op here said what most people think anyway (at least said what I’ve been thinking). It wasn’t meant as a jab to Altare.
I wasn’t trying to start shit, I think it’s cool that he is doing what he wants without caring about what others think and just collabs with people he genuinely likes.
TSB: Civil War arc. Doki’s gonna be on a team with Sajam and Gumi in a different bracket from the boys. Other three teammates haven’t been confirmed yet.
If they’re both good/lucky enough to advance from their brackets, they might get to play against each other.
it somehow manages to resemble both kinds of sexual anatomy, depending on how you look at it (i def see a uterus and ovaries at the top)
i still think it’s really pretty! but i have rotten luck with dangly pedants, it’s got so many points it could break at, and you know this thing’s costing ~100usd… if i do buy it i’ll have to wear it very, very rarely
Hakka apparently had a lot of input into his design… I wonder if Bettel did the same, or if he was hands-off and let the professionals handle it. I can’t decide which is funnier, given the outcome lol
idk if this should be in the other section but the sound designer for escape the backrooms sent a sc. i think it’s sweet but i guess they’re not fully aware of the usual rules with talking about pl
no hate but it caught me off guard for a sec when I read it
I can’t wait for the day we let these boys be normal content creators and their viewers can accept they’ve created content outside their character. It doesn’t make me enjoy them less today to know they’ve existed pre holostars
I think that’s a combination of company policy and the expectations of Idol VTuber culture specifically. Cover is the one who mandates they maintain a facade of separation, on paper mainly for IP reasons.
okay? and the talent does. You think a company can micromanage their consumers? Imagine being told when you watch a show or movie you can’t mention what other things the actor has shown in.
Alright, so. We as fans can absolutely acknowledge who they are behind the Vtubing avatar. The reason this OP probably posted about it is because it is dangerous for us to do so in their Cover streams.
The reason that VODs where they accidentally use real names or old stage names tend to get privated for at least editing is because them leaking that information is against company policy. Hence the anon above saying it caught them off guard, and that this person wasn’t “fully aware of the usual rules.”
They can dance around it, and frequently do, but putting them in a situation where they risk explicitly acknowledging it while streaming as their characters actually risks them getting in trouble with their employer. That’s the company mandate I mentioned in my comment.
I agree with you the company should consider changing this policy. That would probably require them radically altering their IP-related company policies however, since as of right now the talents can’t use their work with Cover to formally advertise for their personal projects. Such a change would almost certainly be better for the talents, but worse for the company, and against the idol culture expectations that shape Cover (and to a lesser extent, Nijisanji).
Perhaps it doesn’t apply to most of the EN boys but some vtubers do want a separation of their vtuber identity from their other online identities. There are some from the JP branches who benefit from it, including some of the company’s most popular girls, so I can’t imagine the policy ever being changed.
i mean it definitely does not help that ex-nijis and others dont mind a wink wink nudge nudge about it. which they are totally in the right to do! but i’ve seen many a PL fan confused about the etiquette and commit a small blunder.
Plus it could put the talent in danger if their past life has too many eyes on it. Like worst case scenario, it could attract the wrong people who could harm them in some way.
like yea talents have show their real faces on PLs but others would prefer to have that and other info be unknown, deleted, and in this case, be separate from their current persona/job to avoid any issues *especially with cover
I just find it funny whenever Shinri uses a stock image of a dog to represent Axel in the thumbnails, lol.
Btw, is there a pairing (?) name for these two?
